| Line L | Click start, click end. Type an exact length + angle in the bar. |
| Polyline P | Click each vertex. Enter finishes, C closes the loop. |
| Rectangle R | Type an exact W × H in the bar, then click once to drop it — or click two opposite corners. |
| Gusset / Triangle G | Right‑angle gusset from any two of Base, Height, Hypotenuse, or Angle — type them and click to place. Or click any 3 corners for a custom triangle. |
| Slot O | Rounded‑end slotted hole. Type Length × Width and click to place, or click the two end centers (Width from the bar, default 3⁄8″). |
| Circle C | Click center, click radius — or type the radius/diameter. |
| Fillet F | Set a radius, click two lines — rounds the corner between them. |
| Trim T | Click the part of a line, circle, arc, or rectangle/polygon edge to remove; it cuts back to the nearest crossing (a line, circle, or arc all work as the cutoff). E.g. draw a line across a circle and click the half you want gone. |
| Dimension D | Click two points to drop a measured dimension (annotation only). |
| Pan | Middle-drag, or hold Space + drag, or right-drag. |
| Zoom | Mouse wheel / pinch. The Fit button (or F2) zooms to fit everything. |
| Select / Move | S. Click an object or drag a box; drag to move. Shift adds. |
| Resize | With something selected, either type an exact W × H in the bar and press OK, or drag a square handle on the box. Corners scale evenly; side handles stretch one way; hold Shift on a corner for free scaling. Snapping applies while dragging. |
| Copy | Copy button or Ctrl+D duplicates the selection. Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V also work. |
| Rotate | Drag the round knob above a selection to spin it (snaps to 15°; hold Shift for any angle), type an angle in the Rotate° box, or use the toolbar Rotate 90 button for 90° clockwise steps. |
| Flip / Mirror | Toolbar Flip H and Flip V mirror the selection horizontally or vertically about its center. |
| Edit dimensions | Select a single part and a small box appears over each edge — type an exact length to resize that edge in place. Circles show a diameter box; slots show length & width. |
| Smart guides | While placing or moving, green guides snap to the plate's centerlines, its edges, other holes' centers, and equal distance from a corner — like aligning a picture in Word. |
| Undo / Redo | Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y |
| Delete | Del removes the current selection. |
| Cancel | Esc cancels the current action. |
| Holes & slots | Draw a hole, slot, rectangular hole, or gusset inside a plate outline and it asks "Repeat on all sides?" — press Y to mirror it symmetrically to the matching positions (e.g. all four corners of a bolt pattern). |
| Fillet | Round one corner of a rectangle and it asks "Fillet all corners?" — Y rounds every corner at the same radius. N or Esc keeps just the one. |
| Multiple parts | Each Line is its own part with its own Material / Thickness / Quantity. Draw one, fill its details, then + on the bottom stepper to add another (up to 20). Use ‹ › to move between lines; 🗑 clears the current one. |
| Download DXF / Send to Quote | When your lines are ready, either button asks for your contact info and sends the whole order to Mid‑South Metals — MSM emails your DXF/quote back to you. Nothing downloads on screen. Ctrl+E starts the same flow. |
